It is that time of year again for our open house. I will be having an open house on Friday, November 13th, from 5:00- 9:00pm or however late. There will be lots of jewelry, food, and drinks. I will be combing with The Beaded Lizard so there will lots of fun jewelry and quite a variety. It is going to be at my home so if you would like to stop by send me an e-mail at janmh91@gmail for details and the address.

We also have a Holiday Bazaar coming up on Saturday, November 21,2009 at Cherokee Christian Church. The church is located at 75th and Belinder, on the corner, you cannot miss it! Stop by, there will be all kinds of food, crafts, holiday items, and jewelry. I will be posting some pics pretty soon of new jewelry pieces.

Getting ready for Halloween this weekend! Hope everyone has a great one and gets lots of candy!

It is the last day of September and now getting ready for the holiday season. I did finally put out some of my fall and Halloween decor today. Tyler stayed home from school so I had the time to spend on it. He came downstairs and that was the first thing he noticed and then he ate his bowl of cocoa puffs. We are cereal people. I love kid's cereal.

I have three events coming up November so will be getting ready for them. I will post them soon.

October is breast cancer awareness month and I have made a few pieces for the occasion. Here is a pic of a bracelet I made. I am hoping to have a few pieces in Statements for the month of October. Statements is a great shop. I do all of their visual merchandising. They are located in Hawthorne Plaza at 119th and Roe. Great shop and lots of gifts. I will be changing out the window this weekend to pink!

We will be at Sunlight Day Spa September 29th from 3-8pm for the Sun and Glow fashion and jewelry event. It will be lots of fun, food and drink and door prizes. Check out their site http://www.sunlightdayspa.com/ for more details. We will have lots of jewelry pieces there!

Hello, it has been a little while since I wrote anything and wow has it been busy. Our Mission Arts and Eats Festival was a success, and now am getting ready for new events which I will be posting.

I found a new pearl color that I love , eggplant! I have made a few new pieces with them, love it! Here are a few pics.

Fall is here and I am so ready for the cooler weather. Fall is my favorite time of the year! I have been adding pieces to my etsy that will be great for fall so if you have the time, check it out!

Hello, it has been a little while since I posted anything. Hope all is well. I really need to be beading for an upcoming event, Mission Arts and Eats Festival, lots of fun. If you are local or happen to be in Mission, KS you really should stop by. Lots of food and activities, great for kids! It is the weekend of September 18th and 19th. I will be with the Beaded Lizard and CK Artisans. Stop by if out and about!

My daughter took some amazing pictures over the holiday weekend of family. The pictures are she and all her cousins, her being the oldest. Now the pics with her in them were taken by my sister-in-law, Angie. Very nice job! Stephanie is going to school for photography so this is great practice for her. I do have to brag because they are so great.

Hello, well things have been crazy around here and it has been a while since I posted anything.

I sent my daughter off to school, Universit of Central Missouri, she is loving it, thank goodness! I sent my son off to kindergarten and he is loving it, thank goodness!

Now I can get back to beading. The weather is cooler and making me ready for fall so I have been making pieces for the fall.

Hello. I haven't been on in a while, things a little crazy around here. I just added a couple new pieces to my etsy. Okay, I just got bit on my leg, does that ever happen to you, sitting quietly in my house at my computer and then my leg starts to itch. Of all places, they have to find you.

Anyways life has been hectic, I lost my brother on July 3rd, quite a shock, trying to get Steff ready for college, leaves in a few weeks, and Tyler will start kindergarten in August, things never stop. I hope to do some beading and add pieces to my etsy, here are a couple of pics. Appreciate any feedback, have a great night!

Went to a wholesale bead show today. I have decided that I am addicted to the shopping. I love pearls, pearls, pearls, and more pearls. Look for lots of pearl pieces to be added to my etsy. I stil love all the chain, too. Chain is so popular right now, can't get enough. I also bought lots of unique crystals, so much to do. I will post pictures, here are a few.

Today is the big day, Steff's open house, I hope we don't run out of food! The weather is perfect! When this is all over I can get back to beading, haven't done much in the last couple of weeks, I miss it. Am looking forward to making some fun new pieces. Hope everyone has a wonderful Sunday! Hello. Well it has been a while. This was the holiday weekend and I worked most of it. Today we worked in the yard, getting it ready for my daughter's graduation open house. Please don't rain this Sunday, please, please, please. We had graduation last week, went great. I can't beleive it, she is all done. She will be attending University of Central Missouri in the fall.

Today is a gorgeous day and I wish I could just stay home and work in the yard, nope have to go to work. I added two new peices to my etsy, I sold a necklace like this last week so thought I would make another one similar to it. Have a great Monday!

Hello, well things have been busy around here. My daughter has just finished high school and will have graduation next week. I can't beleive it, wow, does time fly. I am excited for her and ready for her next chapter. She will be headed to the University of Central Missouri to pursue her interests in photography. I can't wait!

Hello. Well I did the jewelry showcase on etsy this week and was able to sell the necklace I posted, yeah, it was worth it! I am now working on fun pieces for etsy. I went to a bead show and ended up buying lots of silver. It is in the works. I will write more later. Hope all is well!

Today was Tyler's 5th B-day. He had a great day, all he wanted to do was open presents. We ended the day with dinner at Red Robin, here are a couple of pics.

Well today is almost over. Birthday shopping for my son tonight. He will be 5 tomorrow and is he excited. Time goes way too fast. Looking forward to it.

There is a bead show this weekend and hopefully I won't buy a bunch of great beads and then get them home and wonder what to do with them. I will keep you posted. I added a few new pieces to my etsy today.

I am offering free earrings to my 20th sale on etsy. We will see what this will do. Everyone have a great weekend!

Today it rained all day, did a little bit of beading, posted a few new pairs of earrings on etsy, and now am looking at what I bought at the last bead show. Do you ever buy stuff you love and then you get home and think , Now What? I bought a variety of briolette strands, different colors, and now I just keep looking at them trying to figure out what to make. At the time it seemed like such a good idea, a shopping frenzy. I think my brain is confused as to what to do. I will think of something.

Well I have to say that today was exciting. I came home from work and looked at my etsy shop. I had 6 sales. I went downstairs and yelled to my family that I had 6 new sales. I was so excited. It is such a good feeling to know that there are people out there who enjoy what I make. Etsy is so much fun, just seeing what others create is incredible. I have a dear friend who will be selling on etsy, I had to call her and tell her that she needs to hurry up.

This changes the subject. My daughter and I went tonight and saw the musical, The Color Purple, I wasn't sure of what to think. It was really fun, great music, very upbeat. I could stay on here and talk about all kinds of musicals but am hungry and really need to go eat something. I taped American Idol and now need to see who went home. This is tough. I really like Danny and Adam. We will have to see.

Open House

Well we had our open house. We had a good turn out and lots of food! It was fun to visit with old and new customers as well as friends. We always have a good time together visiting, getting new ideas and discussing what we are going to come up with next. We have decided that our beading is a sickness, we love it and cannot stop.

We also made it a point to make it to the gem show on Sunday so that we could buy more beads to add to our collection.

Recently we did a bead swap, we all brought beads to exchange and it went very well. If there are beaders out there who would like to be involved in bead swaps, send a comment. We really should have swaps every couple of months. It is fun to see what other designers do with beads you originally bought. It is also a great way to clean out your collections and make room for more!

We set up for our open house tonight, and wow, do we have a lot of jewelry. Anyone who lives near Prairie Village and loves beads should come by. We will be serving an assortment of Mexican food and margararita's. I will be taking pictures and will post them. It is nice to have three designers, I think that we compliment eachother well and get great ideas from eachother. We have 2 open houses a year and one event in the late summer.

Haven't posted anything lately. I am having an open house this Friday 5-9pm and Saturday 10-4pm with the Beaded Lizard and C.K. aRtisan. Comment for directions, located in Prairie Village, KS. It should be lots of fun, lots of fun jewelry and great food! We will have a huge variety. lots to choose from.

This is a picture of myself and my two friends who I bead with. The three of us will be having our spring open house on April 24th and Saturday, April 25th. I will post times in the next few days.
